Growing Pains — 8 Comments

  1. I have had those times of finding old quotes or thoughts that I had written down and been amazed at how relevant they were to me in the present moment. Your post reminded me of an art journal page I created called “Notes to My Future Self.”
I love the quotes you shared. I have been going through some major growth spurts lately, and yet there is always new wisdom to be gathered!

    • Shana, Thank you for reading, and for sharing your thoughts. It is always such a powerful experience to find something from the past that is completely and powerfully relevant to our now. I appreciate that you had that experience regarding my quote AND your comment reminded me of a page in one of my artjournals!!…and it has been too long since I’ve created a new art journal page, so thank you for the prompt to do that too! xo

  2. Great post Cindie, I’ve always believed that the problem/situation/person will go when we’ve learned all we can from it. Sometimes I feel like I’m banging my head on a wall because I don’t seem to be ‘getting it’ and I want to hurry up and learn so it can be over! But it always helps me to remember what Neale Donald Walsch once wrote: “I have sent you nothing but angels” 🙂

    • I think we’ve all had that “bang head against the wall” experience. And I’m glad to hear I have company in the
“wanting it to hurry up” club. 😉 I love the Donald Walsch quote…wow, that made my day. 🙂 Thank you!

  3. Hi Cindie!

I love this post! It’s so easy to lose sight of the bigger picture when we’re going through life’s ‘difficulties’. But your post is a lovely reminder that there is always a reason for our discomfort. And our discomfort is one shift away from a new life perspective!

    Thank-you!

    • Thank you, Rachel! I love your comment about “one shift away”…isn’t that the truth! 🙂 Always! Thank you for reading and for your kind words. 🙂

  4. Wow! Words of wisdom and just exactly what I needed to read to remind me that all is well and exactly as it should be. Also a great reminder to embrace the challenges and look within at where change would be best served. I sometimes stick to my patterns very stubbornly…
    Thank you, Tia

    • Thank you, Tia, for your kind words. I’m so glad to know that this post touched you! Yes, every moment is perfect…and it is so easy to forget sometimes. 🙂 xo
